How to check High Court case status online
High Court cases are searched on the eCourts High Court Services portal (hcservices.ecourts.gov.in). Select the High Court and the bench the case belongs to, then search by case number, filing number, party name, advocate name, FIR number, act or case type. Most High Courts also publish orders and cause lists on their own websites.
How to check High Court case status
Open hcservices.ecourts.gov.in and choose Case Status.
Select the High Court and then the bench or side (for example, a principal seat or a permanent bench).
Pick a search option: Case Number, Filing Number, Party Name, Advocate Name, FIR Number, Act or Case Type.
Enter the details and the captcha, then open the case to see its status, listing and orders.
For certified or signed orders, use the High Court’s own website, which usually has a separate orders and judgments section.

Frequently asked questions
Why do I have to select a bench?
Some High Courts sit at more than one place. Case records are held bench by bench, so you must pick the bench where the case was filed.
Where can I find a High Court order?
Open the case on High Court Services and check the orders section, or use the orders and judgments search on that High Court’s own website.
What is the difference between filing number and case number?
A filing number is given when papers are first filed. A case number is allotted after the registry scrutinises and registers the case, and is what appears in the cause list.
Does the CNR work for High Court cases?
Many High Court cases carry a CNR printed on the case record and orders. If a CNR search is not offered for your High Court, use the case number or party name.
