How to check case status on eCourts Services

  1. Go to services.ecourts.gov.in and choose Case Status (or open the eCourts Services app).

  2. Select the state, district, court complex and, if asked, the specific court or establishment where the case is pending.

  3. Choose a search method: CNR Number, Case Number, Party Name, Advocate Name, Filing Number, FIR Number, Act or Case Type.

  4. Fill in the details. For a case number search you need the case type, number and year. For a party-name search add the registration year and the case status filter (pending or disposed).

  5. Enter the captcha and open the matching record to see the next hearing date, stage, orders and listed acts.

  6. Use Court Orders and Cause List on the same portal to read the latest order or check whether the case is listed on a given day.
